Online tithing is a great way to give consistently, whether you’re on vacation, sick or forgot your tithe.
Q: Why should I tithe online?
It’s a personal preference, but here are a few of the benefits we hear frequently.
– It’s a step of faith…deciding in advance to give faithfully.
– It helps simplify life…no trying to remember whether or not you’ve given this month.
– It allows you to give consistently…even when you’re not at church.
– It allows you to focus on the service when you’re at church…no more digging for a pen in the dark.
– It’s a matter of for you.
Q: How do I tithe online?
Click the “Give Online” button and follow the prompts. You will be directed to PayPal.com. You do not need an account. You can use a credit card or a bank account, it is very simple.
Q: Does it cost me anything?
No, it does not cost you anything to use the Paypal service to tithe.
Q: I clicked the “Make a Donation” button and nothing happens.
When you click Online Giving, a new browser window is opened. If you are using a pop-up blocker such as the Google Toolbar, Norton Internet Security, or Pop-Up Stopper, the window will not open. Most tools will allow you to permit pop-ups on a specific web site. In order to use the Giving area, you will need to allow pop-ups within Paypal.com.
Q: How can I keep a record of the amount I have contributed?
At any time you can view your record of “online” giving by going to the Paypal.com website or you can save the email receipt that Paypal has sent you after each. We also send year end statements directly to your home address on file in the front office.
Q: Can I give to a designated event/fund or just donate money?
Yes. In the Comment Box, just denote how much you would like to go to specific funds.
Q: How do I participate in the weekly offering if my contribution is automatically processed online?
You can still participate in the offering during the service by reflecting on the message of the song or media that is being presented. Or by placing a receipt of your offering in the plate.
Q: Can I use a check, my debit card or credit card?
Yes, as long as it’s MasterCard or Visa.
Q: Paypal says the money is going to the webmaster? Where is money going?
Don’t worry the money is going straight to the church account and project you designated.
Q: Who do I talk to if I have more questions?
Contact the Church Office, and we’ll be glad to answer any other questions you may have.
